The South Carolina Green Fair is supported by a committee of passionate individuals, who believe that by educating both consumers and businesses through the Green Fair Events it is possible to make South Carolina an even finer place to live! Our purpose is to create excitement and enthusiasm for green products, services and technologies available to the residents of South Carolina using an environmentally responsible forum of education and entertainment.

Green Fair Community Stewardship Project

The Carolina Green Fair is excited to announce the Green FairCommunity Stewardship Project. The GF Community Stewardship Project is funded by the Bosch Community Grant. Our mission is to encourage youth to come up with ideas, research the feasibility of their plan, budget and plan for implementation, take action to bring their idea to life and realize the satisfaction of creating a positive impact in their community.  Projects will have a positive environmental or health related impact on the school or surrounding community.  Results are measurable and can be shared.  Finalists will be showcased at the 2014 Carolina Green Fair at James Island County Park and the winning projects will share their results at the 2015 Carolina Green Fair.

This program provides an opportunity for students in any income demographic to work together as a team to make positive change in their community or school.  The Carolina Green Fair Event will be used as a platform to showcase the program and its results and will allow thousands of residents to see the power of youth stewardship.   It is both educational and will have a real impact on both promoting stewardship and, in funding  real action and positive environmental change.

For more information on how your students can be a part of this year’s project and for the entry forms and details on what is expected contact Suzie Webster at 843-513-2655 or email hidden; JavaScript is required.
